Friday’s miracles in Diepsloot

Every Friday people from the community are invited to come for prayer for healing. It’s another chance for those who’re going through the training on Monday to put in to practice what they’ve learned.

Here’s a photo of some who came last Friday.  We prayed for a number of people and various pains and ailments disappeared.  One woman we prayed for mentioned she had some internal problems.  After prayer she told us it felt like someone was touching her inside.  Obviously this was God — and thus she’s set free

Healings, Demonic Deliverance, Sharing the Gospel – training others.

Every Monday I host a study group and training session in Diepsloot (and every Friday a healing / evangelistic service). During the week and weekend we take this truth out in to the community to see lives transformed and set free.

Top-left:  I originally prayed for the man in the center for his finger (swollen, had pain, and was broken or something similar), after the pain left he was open to receive Christ. His wife (left) then came in and wanted prayer as well — all had drinking problems. As I was praying for them the woman started to manifest a demon and crumpled to the ground, waving her hands as if she didn’t like nor want what was happening. Her face also contorted and showed indignation. Knowing this was a demon I focused attention to her alone until the demon was gone and she was set free … When she looked up I could see freedom in her eyes. All present then prayed to accept Christ as they saw the reality of the spiritual realm and power of God before their very eyes. The man confessed his wife had told him previously that she would kill him (while under the influence of alcohol, and the demon) — I told him not to worry, she is now set free. I discussed the importance of getting filled with the spirit of God (which they did) and continuing to grow in His Word (I invited them to our Monday and Friday meetings) — thus filling themselves with light so the darkness would not return.

Bottom-left:  This man was beaten and shot four times. As a result his spinal chord and legs weren’t working right and he could barely walk (with much pain). After prayer he was walking better and declared the pain was gone — and he opened his life to Jesus as well.

Bottom-right:  My son enjoys coming with me to share the Gospel and set people free. Here he is about to launch out to do just that, starting at our meeting place in Diepsloot where we hold Monday and Friday meetings as well as meet during the week to launch out in to the community.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations … teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you …  as you go, preach, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give … And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” (Matthew 28:19-20, 10:7-8, 2 Timothy 2:2)

Linking sickness and the demonic – Casting out demons

I want to share an experience from last Sunday which involved casting out a clearly demonically related sickness (and accompanying demon) — and thus establishing the fact that the realm of sickness and disease is not something we need to tolerate nor is it ‘sent from God to teach us something’, but it is something which Jesus bore so we don’t have to (Isa. 53:4, Mt. 8:16-17) and thus needs to be dealt with in the way that Jesus prescribes such as when He told his disciples to “heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons…” (Matthew 10:8) — something which He said all believers should be doing as well.  (Mk. 16:15-20)

“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38)

After speaking on the Mystery and power of the Gospel last Sunday at a church in Diepsloot, many people lined up to receive prayer, healing, infilling of the spirit, etc.  All were delivered from their various pains and such and one lady in particular asked for prayer against stomach pains.  I proceeded to command her stomach to be healed and released life (see Acts 3:6) at which she started doubling over in pain.

I asked her what she was feeling and she said the pain was now moving from her stomach and darting here and there — throughout her body.  At this I knew we weren’t simply dealing with a physical issue and proceeded to command the demon to leave after which her pain was gone, and I could tell she was completely set free (from both the pain and the evil spirit that caused it).

Along the same lines a friend of mine related an instance where he and another brother were praying for someone who was blind in one eye.  After quite a while of proclaiming healing for that eye the person exclaimed that his other eye was now blind too!  Well, this made it clear that it was not simply a physical issue — so they proceeded to cast out this demon after which the person was immediately set free — having perfect vision in both eyes.

Both of these situations are examples how satan has a deep interest in promoting (and causing and/or exacerbating) sickness and disease (whatever steals, kills, and destroys (see Jn. 10:10)),  because he’s out to destroy those who were created in God’s image (that would be us).  This is not to say that each and every cold or other sickness has its physical manifestations directly resulting from present demonic activity.  However, at minimum, every sickness and disease CAN be traced back to original sin, the fall, and thus stems ultimately from the direct work of the devil within the realm of mankind. (There’s no sickness, pain, nor disease in Heaven, after all.)  Based upon this, Jesus has come to “destroy the works of the devil” (1 Jn. 3:8) and redeem mankind from every curse (Gal. 3:13, which includes sickness and disease) and effectively offer salvation to all who will believe. (Rom. 10:9)

Now the word salvation (saved) is used both in instances of physical healing (James 5:15) as well as spiritual renewal and deliverance (Acts 16:31).  The reason for this is because it’s the same Greek word (sozo) used (the language which the New Testament was originally written in) which means to be set free from an oppressor and to be made whole.  The Devil is busy stealing, killing, destroying, and oppressing all mankind through various means, one of which includes sickness and disease — thus Jesus came to remove it (1 Jn. 3:8) and thus we see Him healing ALL the sick who came to him. (Mt. 8:16, Lk. 4:40, etc.)

Jesus came to offer us complete salvation — body and spirit.  Thus we have the symbol of communion at which Jesus took the bread and said “this is my body which is broken for you” (1 Cor. 11:24) (relating to physical healing see also 1 Peter 2:24), as well as the cup which symbolized the shedding of His blood for the forgiveness of sins. (Eph. 1:7)  Both are components of salvation and both Jesus made available at cost of considerable pain and suffering which He had to endure.

The Bible says many are sick due to not correctly discerning the Lord’s body (1 Cor. 11:29-30) at the time of communion, so there’s something (a lot actually) to be said for understanding what Jesus provided for us.  Jesus provided his own body, whipped and beaten, as payment for our physical healing.  He provided his blood as payment for our sins.  Let us not minimize the stripes of Jesus he bore for us.  Let us not partake only of the blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of sin, but let’s partake of his body as well for the healing of our bodies.   Jesus thought it important enough to provide both — so should we not partake of what Jesus suffered to provide?  Let us not allow His suffering to be in vain, but rather give him the reward for which he bore each and every stripe on his body.  Not to mention of course the healing benefit it provides for all who believe.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.”  (John 6:53)

For His glory and honor,

– Paul

Face down in her shack – raised up and healed. God is good!

Just a little update on whates been happening over the last four weeks.

I’ve been going in to Diepsloot and God’s been doing amazing things.  During this time I haven’t been doing any mass meetings, but just one by one, about 100+ people have been individualy touched and healed from their various afflictions, pains, and diseases — and as a result, many have found faith and trust in the One Who created them.  One memorable experience was a woman who we found lying face down in her shack in obvious pain.  After taking her by the hand and raising her up, I watched as the beads of sweat began to disappear from her face.  By the time we left (a couple minutes later), she was sitting outside and set free from the pain that gripped her just moments before.  As we walked back to the main road we noticed another woman we had prayed for just a little while earlier — walking around and telling people, “My foot doesn’t hurt any more!  It doesn’t hurt!”

So many people were touched by God’s love and healing over the last few weeks.  Some in hospitals, some in Diepsloot, some in various places as we happened to meet.  It’s wonderful to see the look on some people’s faces as they realize what just happened — because it’s not just about getting healed (only), it’s coming face to face with the reality that God loves them and at that very moment, He just laid his hand upon their life in an undeniable way.  Faith is born, and a relationship begins.

Shack burnt to the ground in Diepsloot. Hope in the midst of adversity

I started off the other day with a Bible study for a couple of security officers (also residents) in Diepsloot. We then took to the streets to be beacons of light and hope in the midst of darkness.

We went to a family’s home (a tin shack) which was burnt to the ground.  The security officer made some arrangements with a local NGO for some physical help, and I was able to offer encouragement and pray with many of them who were instantly set free from their various physical pains and afflictions — they then prayed and asked Jesus in to their lives.

Grandmother and grandchildren healed

Christmas miracles for those in need

I always like to remind our children that Christmas is not about ourselves — it’s about Jesus, His ultimate sacrifice in giving His own life — and putting in to practice His admonition that “as the Father sent me, so I send you.” (John 20:21)  In other words, Christmas represents living a life which touches the lives of others with God’s love — and spending time loving the One who made it all possible.

So, as a family, we went in to Diepsloot (as we regularly do).  Our kids played with the  children, people were set free from their ailments and diseases as we prayed for them, and some opened their heart to Jesus and experienced God for the first time. (One of these was a man who’s partly responsible for security in one section of Diepsloot.  Upon seeing people set free and miraculously healed, he opened his life to God.)  We also prepared some food parcels which we brought to the neediest people which were pointed out to us.

Grandmother and grandchildren healed

This grandmother was instantly healed. She and grandchildren accepted Jesus.

The recipient was a grandmother who cares for and lives alone with her five grandchildren in a small, tin shack. (The daughter has passed on, and no one is there to help her).  She was extremely grateful as she said she didn’t know what they were going to eat that day.

I asked her if she had any physical conditions I could pray for her for — but she said I had already prayed for her on a previous occasion (I didn’t recognize her).  Ever since then she said her then frequent pains have not returned.  She and her grandchildren all invited Jesus to be a part of their lives, as we then said a simple prayer together.  Two of the children then came to play soccer with us!

Video – Two years of pain gone

Enoch was introduced to me and was obviously full of pain in his body. For two years he’d been in this condition and it took it’s toll in his countenance. After commanding the sickness to leave in Jesus’ name he was completely set free.In this video clip a very happy and radiant Enoch shares his testimony!

Video – Man happy after legs healed at a petrol station

I met Joel at a petrol station and he mentioned his legs were in pain and have been (due to a fall) for a very long time.  This was obviously not a good situation for him as he needed to be on his feet constantly. After prayer, his legs were healed.  In this short video, Joel shares his testimony:

Video – Woman couldn’t walk, now she can

The last couple weeks in Diepsloot have been amazing.  I’m so happy to see people getting set free not only in their spirit, but in their bodies as well — getting set free from sickness and disease.  God is alive and well — and Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever!  Since my last update a week or so ago about 40 people have been set free from various afflictions and pains in Diepsloot.

I’ll be posting some photos and more video testimonies soon — but here’s one to get you started.

Someone brought me to this woman who had pain in her legs and thus couldn’t walk.  There were two small boys nearby so I taught them how to pray and set this grandmother free from her pain –in Jesus’ name.

Another woman was also set free from back pain.  Here are their testimonies.

More sickness destroyed in Diepsloot

One of the better sections of Diepsloot

Yesterday I was again privileged to walk the dirt roads in Diepsloot as God extended His loving and healing touch in to the lives of real people in tough situations.

FEVER AND PAIN DESTROYED

One precious older woman who needs to care for her grandchildren was in bed with fever and flu-like symptoms — sweating profusely.  It was a pleasure to hold her hand as God brought her healing and relief.  The sweat dried up and she sat up obviously feeling well.  She also said the pain from her leg (which had limited mobility) was gone, and she could begin moving her foot in ways she couldn’t before.

UNIDENTIFIED PAIN AND INFECTION GONE

After praying for a child one woman led me to another shack to a man who was in bed with pain throughout his body.  I asked what was wrong and he said they think it’s some kind of infection, but they couldn’t identify it.  I laid hands on his chest and God sent waves of healing throughout his body.  Some time was spent just soaking in God’s presence as He did the miraculous work in the man’s body.

I asked the man what he was feeling.  He answered (still with his eyes closed as if enjoying and soaking up what was happening) that he felt movement throughout his body.  I told him, “Yes, God is moving things the way they should be.  You’re healed.”

He was very thankful and went on to tell me of some of the hardships he was facing — his belongings getting washed away in a flood, the struggle to provide for his family since he couldn’t move around while he was sick, amongst other things.  Needless to say the deliverance from this pain afflicting infection was to be a real boost in his life.  I simply shared how much Jesus loves Him and will always be with Him as he walks with Him.

We went on to another location and a man we were speaking with said to me, “Hey, did you pray for that guy over there?” (Pointing to the man I just prayed for who was now out for a walk.) “I saw him this morning — he was sick in bed and couldn’t move!”  The man pointing this out was obviously experiencing a paradigm shift in to the reality and realm of God’s healing power.

BODY RACKED WITH PAIN HEALED

The man pointing out the one just healed proceeded to ask me to pray for another person who was nearby.  He couldn’t speak English extremely well, but he could manage to say he had pain all over his body.  Hands on his chest, God did His thing, this man was soon stretching around and testing out his new body — the new, without pain version.  He asked when I would be returning.

The one I mentioned before is a leader in the community and expressed that he’s very keen for further meetings so others too can experience the reality of God in their lives.  I said I would certainly be back — it’s my life and what I love to do — bringing the reality of God’s supernatural love in to the lives of real people, in real situations.
